The Club organised the creation of the special award-winning "Judy Garland Rose" by the famous English rose growers Harkness. A bed of Judy roses at the church at Stoke Poges will be a reminder of Judy's legacy for generations to come.
In 2000 the Club arranged for a plaque to be placed in the Judy Garland Suite at the Dominion Theatre in London. The unveiling commemorated Judy’s 1957 Dominion Theatre success and was an emotional event for many. The inscription on the brass tribute was based on Elizabeth Frank’s assertion that "All that is the essence of star quality [held] the stage at the Dominion."
Our digital archivist, Andy Warrington, has made a monumental effort in capturing on film, for the first time, the memories of some long standing Club members. Many of these early Club members were lucky enough to meet Judy when she visited the Club in 1964 and have also seen her in concert; thanks to Andy their cherished memories and personal reminiscences have now been preserved. This footage will now be used to produce a special DVD that charts the history of the Club, which will provide a genuine keepsake for future generations of Judy fans to experience and enjoy.
